We did such a great  job last year at the habitat day that we have had a request from Dr. Stasiak to help out in a clean up day at the school in preparation for the beginning of the school year.   Please come out this Saturday, July 31th from 9-11 to help with cleanup of the flower beds and spread mulch.  After clean-up at the school, we can go enjoy a nice refreshing swim in the JT pool from 12:00 – 3:00 pm and enjoy a great lunch.  Mark you calendars and see you there. 

Committee Meeting

Come to our committe meeting to help make plans for our pack.  We need all parents to volunteer this year.  Come out and find out how you can help!

What a bummer our picnic and swim party got rained out this past Saturday!  Don’t fear we have rescheduled for next Saturday, July 31st  12 to 3 pm.  If you can come please send a note to lbaraji@earthlink.net and RSVP.  I will keep you on the list from the last count unless you send me a note and tell you will not be coming.

Come and be part of the summer planning session for pack 471 this Sunday Night July 11th, 7:00 p.m. at the home of David Janes.  This is an opportunity to add and improve plans for next year.  We need to have all parents involved in one way or another next year to make a great year of scouting happen for our boys.  Last year was awesome with all the camping, rockets, Pinewood Derby, USS Yorktown and many other activities and we want to continue the momentum next year and make pack 471 a place that all the boys want to be!  Please volunteer a small amount of your time to make our pack one of the best in the Foothills Districts.  If everyone gives a little no one feels a strain.  Our boys are worth our time!

Would you and your scout like to help with a awesome service project?  Check out this ServiceProjectFlyer.  This is a great learning experience for your children.  Our children are very blessed and we have an abundance! Some people are not as fortunate as we are.  This project is something that kids can relate too because they all love to have birthday parties.  If you would like to contribute please send an email to lbaraji@earthlink.net.

Hope everyone is off to a great summer break!  We have a great service project coming up this Saturday that we don’t want to forget.  The Memorial Flag Placement on the graves of fallen soldiers is a great way to teach the boys the real meaning of Memorial Day.  Class A uniforms are required to participate!  We will meet a Garrison Mill Park Lot at 7:30 a.m. to buddy up and ride together because parking is at a premium and we will park at the:
